Happy Memorial Day weekend!!
Ladies - the beginning of summer...can you believe it? A nice bee the other night. We missed those who weren't there. Pam had her striped blocks sewed into a top - very cool -and, she assures us, very easy to do. She is officially on break from work and loving life! Going to Mama Barb's this weekend to see the new place. Please tell her hello from the 'mamas. Cathy had Chris' t-shirt quilt with her. It's huge - and so cool!!! He is going to love it. Has a nice blue flannel on the back and no batting. It feels terrific. Lori is inches from the finish line on the addition and got some nice Amish pieces of furniture for the family room. The ribbon-cutting bee will be soon. Maureen came and just soaked up the 'mama juju. Chris is rowing up in NY state this weekend. Go Prep!!!! She is wrapping up a fabulous track season and is looking forward to some well-deserved down time, I'm sure. I quilted an Irish hanging and have a t-shirt quilt all basted and ready for quilting. Perhaps this weekend.......Lois, Mare, Dolores and LA - what is going on with you guys? Lois - haven't heard from you or seen you in ages.....how are you? Mare - is Joanna counting the days yet? Hope she survived our mini heat wave this week. It was so uncomfortable. A beautiful day today - hoping for a nice weekend. Enjoy it, ladies......see y'all soon. Piece.....

Nice weekend?
Saw some of you here and there over the weekend....how was everyone else's weekend? Can you believe this weekend coming is Memorial Day? The crazy blizzards of winter seem a distant memory, don't they? I got a chance to look at some of the quilts in the Blogger's Quilt Festival - pretty neat. We have to meet this week - it's just been too long. Hope you can all come on Wednesday - regular time. We have to get caught up!!! The reservations have been made for November! Bring show&tell if you have it......see you......piece.

Chasing the train....and running out of platform...
Hello, ladies.....how is everyone? I apologize for the lack of posting and the length of time since the last bee. It's been a couple of weeks. Our schedule has been completely crazy.....but should calm down in a couple of weeks. What's new in Quiltmama land? Consuelo - glad you are feeling better - and Matt was tremendous in church on Saturday - so handsome! Track is winding down - boy, you deserve the rest. Mare - nice to see you at church. Joanna looks good. Are you sewing up a storm now that you're finished school? Lois.....how the heck are you? Do you have any trips planned out west? Dolores - saw you briefly on Saturday - sorry we didn't get a chance to chat. Did you keep that awesome scrap four-patch quilt you made for yourself? That was so pretty. Cath - have you had a chance to exhale? Kerry's quilt is so beautiful. Did you finish Chris'? Have you had a chance to work on anything for yourself? Lori - when are you going to be able to bust our your machine and re-learn it? Is the addition completely finished? When is the ribbon-cutting and tour - we didn't miss it, did we? Pam - been following your blog -Agatha is adorable - and look at her working already! Are you surviving your daywork? The end is in sight...hang in there. LA is washing quilts as I type this.....and has some awesome new Olivia fabric for her little cutie niece, Olivia! I know the flowers were happy to have the rain yesterday, but not as happy as me.....a break from sofball games and track practice - I actually finished a t-shirt quilt top. Only two, maybe three more to do and a couple of other things before the Ireland trip - in 4-1/2 weeks. OY! Enjoy the rest of the week, girls. The weather is supposed to be lovely. Hope to see you all soon......piece.

Middle of May?
Wow - middle of May already! The weeks seem to just fly by. Today looks to be a gorgeous day - and tomorrow more of the same. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Congrats to Matt Henderson who receives his First Communion today. Consuelo - hope you're feeling better. I'll see a couple of the mamas at the regional track meet today - boy, we deserve this nice day, don't we after some of the Sundays we've had. LA and I were achingly close to the Iron Horse this week - on a field trip to Lancaster and not a fabric stop was made - painful! Mare - haven't seen you in ages - how is Joanna feeling? Enjoy this lovely day, all.........piece.

glass half full.....
Hello, girls....a beautiful day out there. A nice bee last night - Cathy had Kerry's finished picture quilt with her - it is awesome!!!! Did I get a picture of the picture quilt? Nope....too busy ogling it! The colors are great and the pictures are precious. Pam had her Snowbound blocks and her test block of petals. Can't wait to see that project develop. Dolores filled us in on Joe and Veronica's exploits in Disneyworld - they updated her frequently! The McCabe's were at Pacillio's for dinner - Sean was mighty impressed with the dragon in the basement. Too funny.....missed you girls who weren't here. Lois - how's the garden coming? Mare - what's new? Joanna hanging in there? Consuelo - how did Chris' boat do on Sunday? Lor - did you have a nice time in NY? Erin and Burkie had a ball. I'm working on a couple of t-shirt quilts - and year-end gifts. That's about it. Mother's Day is this weekend - Happy Mother's Day to all Moms, Daughters, Grandmoms. Doggie Moms and all those who take care of others. It's a noble group - and I'm proud to be a member. Take care, ladies......piece.
PS - I'm going to go ahead and book the Evergreen Home for November 5-7, ok? LA - I'll need you to get a new counter going - thanks!

Wet rag?
Anyone else feel like a wet rag? Last week, we stood at track freezing our heinies off - it was probably in the forties. Seven days later - it was in the 90's today - I feel like a schizophrenic! OY! Hope you all survived this mini heat wave. I can host on Tuesday - no games, practices or anything. Hope you can come.....feels like months since I've seen you guys.....take care....be cool....piece.
