Spring is coming...

The Phillies are practicing in Florida, the grass is reappearing, track season will start soon.....we just need to be patient a little bit longer....

Tea on Sunday was very nice - thanks for coming. Totally forgot to take pictures - sorry. It was great to catch up with everyone. The weather over the weekend was awesome....another sign.

Not long now....I think we'll know how bears feel - waking up. The temps are going up this week although it's going to rain - I'll still take it not to wake up like this morning. Hope to see you all at tea on Sunday.....looking forward to it.

Oy! What a week....hope everyone survived ok - heat and humor intact! Talked with Lois last night - she did fine yesterday. She was feeling pretty good last night and while the eye wasn't fully clear yet from the dilation, some parts were looking pretty good. Well done, Lois. Glad to have that done, I'm sure!

I was talking with LA at basketball this week - we're thinking it might be prudent to schedule the Brookline sewing day in March - hopefully the weather will be more cooperative by then!

I would like to host tea on Sunday, February 23rd at 1:00 PM. Please put it on your calendars. Thanks....hoping for only a little snow this weekend.....is that too much to ask???!

Bee wrap-up, various happenings.....

Ladies - Cathy and I had a nice visit with Consuelo at her casa on Thursday night. We had tea and a wonderful chat. It was nice to catch up. Billy Henderson is moving into his first place this weekend - down near the art museum. Good luck, Billy! Kerry had a great time on her service trip to Guatemala and is settled back at SJU for her final semester. That just went so quickly. We had some show & tell....Cathy's been busy.

This is just beautiful - a ufo quilt top finished! I love the spinning motion that is created....

Cath had lots of purple scraps left from Devyn's quilt - and made this beautiful string quilt...

Did I mention is was a lot of scraps - she made two!

I'd made another 'go-to' baby quilt for a shower at work on Wednesday.

Good luck to Lois who goes in for cataract surgery on Thursday. You know you'll have lots of 'mama prayers going with you!

Talked with LA about sewing day at Brookline Fire Co - they have some Sundays open. How about February 9th or March 2nd? Either of those work for anyone? If you can't comment here, please send me an email.

I'd like to have another Quiltmama tea also. February 22nd? 23rd? Burkie is away that weekend - a testosterone-free house!!
