From here to Havertown....

We're back! This shot was taken from Croagh Patrick (St. Patrick's mountain) - we climbed a little way up and this is the view. What a trip......lots of memories and pictures. Feel like I'm still processing it. It was so cool to have the girls see the places and folks who have been very important in my life. Heard is was crazy weather and storms while we were gone. Hope everyone's house fared ok......we only lost one section of fence in the back. Mare - how's the new family doing? They all getting used to each other? Consuelo - are you off for the summer? Pam - saw your new project posts - wow! You're heading to the beach, right? That's a great thing to bring along. Lor - you're probably heading down for the holiday weekend too - have fun! LA - how are you guys enjoying summer so far? Lois - how are you and George doing - you got through the hot weather ok? Cath - we were walking through Ballina - a small city near my cousin's town - on Tuesday. This guy passed us walking the other way - and Erin said, 'That guy looked just like Timmy DiNardo'. And Kelly and I had been thinking the same thing - he really did! Tim has a twin in Ireland! How is Kerry - did she start at the library yet? D - what's new, kid? What are you working on? I got some fabric while I was there - only bought a meter and a half - it was 14.95 euros per meter - that works out to almost $20 a yard!!!! OY! Wishing everyone a Happy July 4th weekend! Be safe and enjoy yourselves. Hope to see you all soon......piece.

Breath of fresh air

Good morning. ladies. Wasn't the breeze this morning tremendous? What a change from the weekend!! It's amazing how differently the weather can make you feel. The humidity just leaves me feeling wrung out and exhausted - no energy for anything. Today is awesome. Hope you all had a nice weekend. Mare - heard you were down the shore - hope it was cooler down there. LA - nice to see you yesterday - sorry we couldn't chat. Hang in this week - next week will be easier. Cath & Mike - have fun at graduation this week - and all the surrounding festivities. Your baby is finished high school - hard to believe. Pam - enjoyed the Mermaid's tale - can't wait to see her in person. Consuelo - hope you were able to put your feet up yesterday and take a breather after that long track season - well done!!!! Lois, Lori and Dolores - how's things in your worlds? Lois - can't wait to see the top you are quilting. I was going to try to host this week - but, I'm sorry I can't. Between softball playoffs, Narberth basketball and trying to get things done for our trip - there is something every night. Sorry - I miss you guys. Have to finish up some teacher gifts and graduation gifts in there somewhere too......oy! Things will calm down in July, right? Next Wednesday is my last day of work.......can you say 'counting the hours?' Anyhow - enjoy this sparkling day. Piece.......

Happy Memorial Day weekend!!

Ladies - the beginning of summer...can you believe it? A nice bee the other night. We missed those who weren't there. Pam had her striped blocks sewed into a top - very cool -and, she assures us, very easy to do. She is officially on break from work and loving life! Going to Mama Barb's this weekend to see the new place. Please tell her hello from the 'mamas. Cathy had Chris' t-shirt quilt with her. It's huge - and so cool!!! He is going to love it. Has a nice blue flannel on the back and no batting. It feels terrific. Lori is inches from the finish line on the addition and got some nice Amish pieces of furniture for the family room. The ribbon-cutting bee will be soon. Maureen came and just soaked up the 'mama juju. Chris is rowing up in NY state this weekend. Go Prep!!!! She is wrapping up a fabulous track season and is looking forward to some well-deserved down time, I'm sure. I quilted an Irish hanging and have a t-shirt quilt all basted and ready for quilting. Perhaps this weekend.......Lois, Mare, Dolores and LA - what is going on with you guys? Lois - haven't heard from you or seen you in ages.....how are you? Mare - is Joanna counting the days yet? Hope she survived our mini heat wave this week. It was so uncomfortable. A beautiful day today - hoping for a nice weekend. Enjoy it, ladies......see y'all soon. Piece.....
