Boy, it went quickly!!!

Hello, ladies....hope everyone had a nice weekend. The three mamas who went to the shore were very productive - and we missed those who couldn't come. It was a nice little treat while waiting for Lancaster......and now - on to the show & tell:

Consuelo finished the auction quilt for Matt's school - isn't it awesome?! The striped binding is just terrific - and the green really sets off the cool blocks that the kids made. During the quilting phase, Consuelo was persuded that it's time to upgrade her machine....yay! She's already considering names - you know she's always prepared!

Mare had some plaids hanging around and made this awesome quilt for her father-in-law. It's very masculine - and it's huge! Doesn't the black really set off the colors? She also got a lot of homework done!

She also made these for Kevin - the dog ate his other ones....

I needed a 'springy' quilt for my little quilt rack - still deciding whether to bling the white squares.
This is the third baby quilt I've gotten from one jelly roll - and some white. Another 'lawn chair quilt' - I love this pattern. Still needs to be quilted and then will be winging its way to England.

This is the big t-shirt quilt that I HAD to finish this weekend - and I did - thanks to the team effort save from Mare and Consuelo - OY! Details to follow in person...
And, of course, Kelly sent someone along with me - Stewart the minion. He did some sight-seeing when he wasn't assisting me.....here he is visiting Lucy in neaby Margate...

A fun time.....thanks to Mare's sister for her generosity. Take care.....hope to see y'all soon.....piece.

Tales of fabric adventures....

(naked) back problems, Louis Vuitton - these are just some of the varied topics that were discussed at bee.....we missed those who weren't there. Lois - good luck in Ohio. Dolores.....the black flannel was procured. Little Kevin has been sick - along with a few of the DeMarcos - hope everyone is feeling better. Lori had the silhouette quilt she is making for the SH auction - very cool. Pam had two applique pieces with her - in the LV bag no less.....just beautiful! And Maureen had the fruits of her first 'solo' trip to the Hayloft. Lots of laughs, as always. Have a wonderful weekend ladies.....next week is March - spring is coming and so is the Lancaster trip - yahoo!! Piece.....

A victorious call....

from the Hayloft parking lot!! Consuelo got her fabric (on sale), got the black flannel and a replacement blade for her rotary cutter! OY! All by herself......can we get a shoutout for our favorite Schnibbler!!!!! Yahoo! A little lump in my throat...a little tear in my eye.....

We interrupt this blog....

for an important announcement:

We have the opportunity for a shore/sewing weekend this coming weekend!!! Yay!! It would be held at Mare's sister's place in Ventnor. All who are interested - can I see a show of hands? Actually - if you could let Mare know, that would be great. I have to go to work on Friday - but I think I can leave about 2:00 to head down. Thanks....and now, back to your regularly scheduled blogging......

Today's bit of 'country' wisdom on being broke:

If it cost a dollar to go around the world, I couldn't get out of sight!

Piece.....

You speak to me in riddles and

you speak to me in rhymes...  Hmmm, while I don't understand the comments in much of the last post, I do get the gist that Mo HAS to go to the Hayloft on Wednesday...?!

I wanted to ask if there is a Bee scheduled this Wednesday, 'cause I'm off...!  : )

During the day, I am going to some thrift shops.  I don't know if anyone who is not going to Hayloft would like to join me, but consider yourself invited!  Just let me know?

Cathy - I think I may be interested in the green chair!  Lori - I owe you $ for the Sauder's items, don't let me forget!!!  Jean - thanks for the little Primrose.  : )  It is blooming and bright!  And, some little fairy angel left a FUN surprise in my door...  Thank you, thank you!!!
Piecefully, Pam

A spring-like bee....

A very nice bee last night, ladies.....spring is in the air. Thanks to Cathy for hosting Lois, Lori and I! Their dining room was being transformed to a lovely shade of green while we were there.....and we saw a Joe Byrnes slideshow of pictures - very nice! And how about some 'springy' quilts:

Lois - this is an awesome batik version of a Moda bakeshop quilt.

And look at the colors of Lois' tablerunner. Love them....

This is made with a 'Happy' layer cake and charm pack that I bought a while back in Lancaster - I just love these colors too!

Dolores - we missed you. Mare - you too......Consuelo was at home, feverishly quilting - well, prepping her blocks. I stopped on my way home - she's doing great. LA called me on my way home - she had just passed me on Upland - on the way to see her Grandpop with her sister. Pam had a lovely extended weekend at the beach. Wasn't today just terrific? And tomorrow is going to be even nicer. The blue adirondacks are back on the porch and I came home for lunch today and ate in the sunshine! Boy - I love driving without a coat. Have a wonderful weekend, girls.....spring is on the way and the thought of that just lifts the spirits.......piece.
