Morning Girls!

I have the baby quilt quilted and the binding to whip stitch yet. If I were to machine stitch the binding to the back, what stitch would you suggest? Thread to match the binding? Any help or tips are appreciated!

Here a a couple pix of the fabric I think I'm taking to my Whirlygigs class... And, I took a snapshot of the quilt in the book Quilts With A Spin...

Have a good day! Drink some iced tea and think COOL thoughts! : )
Piecefully, Pam

Pam when I machine sew the binding I try to pick a stitch that goes with the person the quilt is for. I like to use hearts for baby quilts. If you want the stitch to stand out use a different color than the binding, if you don't want anyone to notice that you cheated use the same color as the binding. I hope this is helpful. I have to work on Wednesday during the day, but I would be happy to drive you to the Hayloft after 4:30. The cheesesteak challenge went well. 5 guys took the challenge but only one finished. Joe Byrnes was very excited about the whole thing. Hope everyone has a nice week and try to keep cool.

Dolores - thank you SO much for the machine binding info. I'm still on the fence, but may just quickly whip stitch it to the back...I cheated already...I glue basted the binding to the back and heat set it so I don't have to fight with pins or clips. Also, thanks for the offer for the Hayloft ride, but it won't work. : / I'm trying to save Barb some drive time. She's planning to pick me up around lunchtime. She and Karen are flying in late tonight from CA and the Long Beach Show! Hey, the Cheesesteak Challenge sounds messy, but FUN! ; )

Pam - the fabrics are great!!! The block looks interesting - hope she gives you some great tips. Is it two full days? I did my Bunny Hill block today/tonight - just have to machine stitch around the appliques. There are some cool ones on the Flickr group. Please give Mama Barb and Karen our best. The California show sounds neat. Be cool....piece!
