Girls...as always, a fun-filled evening. Cathy - thanks so much for your terrific hospitality!! Some folks were working on projects, some folks just hanging.....lots of conversation and lots of laughs. Some show & tell to start.....
Consuelo's Soduko quilt - finished. Note the splendid pieced binding - really sets it off. Well done....
Mare - a 'post-graduation' quilt for her niece.....
Jean - I saw something like this online and liked it. First time I tried free-motion, (semi) straight quilting - it went very quickly and I was pleased with the result...
What else is new.....Cathy has a big birthday coming up. She and Mike are going to Cancun in March - yay! Cathy is working on a beautiful Swoon quilt for her boss. Lois is also doing some traveling in March - going to see the Gulf in Florida, maybe Phillies' spring training and stopping to see Sean on the way home. Lois was making a bag last night - very nice. Dolores was cutting t-shirts for a Lady Gaga quilt - can't wait to see that one done! Mare was quilting a photo quilt. Lori is making some cool Halloween, scrappy Dresden plates. I'm making Full House - a Schnibbles pattern - in beachy colors. LA was working on cutting her scraps into squares for a scrap quilt. Consuelo provided the entertaining banter and running commentary on life, love and quilting. A couple of things were decided - the dinner to celebrate Cathy will be at the Lamb will be on Sunday, April 15 at 5:00 PM. Also - there will be a spring trip to Lancaster - I booked it this morning - Friday, March 30 - Sunday, April 1st. The beginning of spring and a quilt weekend...does it get any better? I don't think so. Pam - we missed you and hope you can join us at either of the upcoming celebrations. Last year in Lancaster, we picked pollyanna. I know LA is anxious to get started, so we'll probably do that again this year. We'll pick for those who can't come - and if you want to opt out this year, please let me know before then. Think that's all the news and updates. See you all soon.....piece.
