Bee-ing there....

Hey, girls.....a very nice bee last night. Thanks to Cathy for hosting. It was terrific, as always, to see Tim, Kerry and Mike. Lori - heard you're a little under the weather. Hope you're feeling better. Pam was working and Mare was having a romantic dinner at her house....enough about that! Cathy had two beautiful quilts - a scrappy I-spy quilt for the little guy across the street who's turning two and she finished quilting the red and white beauty she made in Lancaster - it's backed with red&white flannel - so cozy! And, apparently, it's for little people. Lois had an adorable picture of her grandkids - so cute and getting so big! And she also had a beautiful table runner that Kara made her for Christmas - batiks, flowers, cranes, dargonflies - it was just gorgeous. I brought my almost-finished curtains for Erin's room and a little bag that I made for Kelly - for Christmas. LA came after having dinner with her grandparents at Lankenau - and gave us a little glimpse of what we're going to be like when we get old! Dolores continues to look terrific. And Consuelo told of adventures with Frank! A lot of laughs, as always. We talked briefly about dates for the spring Lancaster getaway. How is the weekend of April 8-9-10 with everyone? It's two weeks before Easter. Let me know - and I'll book as soon as we decide - we need that new ticker, a carrot if you will, to get through the upcoming winter weeks. Thanks.....Dolores and I are headed down to Hayes on Saturday to retrieve Bernadette from her spa treatment......give me a shout if you want to tag along......piece......

PS - check out the Stash Manicure blog - the post from yesterday, 1/5/11 - it's pretty cool - the 'Top 10 Reasons to Sew a Handmade Quilt'.
