Jean - thanks for hosting us. : ) Your origami purses are cute! Any thoughts/suggestions/ideas for me while I prepare to re-write those directions...?!

Lor - I think the "girls sewing camp" was successful in your home!!! The wall hanging they made is WAY cute! : ) Also, your Connecting Threads baby quilt is cuddly & precious. Nice job!

Lois - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the sock monkey!!! : ) Thank YOU!!! He's sitting on a shelf in the studio. ; )

Mare - thanks for letting me know that my Mom isn't the only difficult Mom out there. It sure is tough, but helps to know you're not alone. Thanks for everything!

Jean & Lois - thanks for trying the Magical Pillowcase! Neat, huh?! Let me know if you make more & what you think...?!

To those QM's not there - we missed each of you! Take care & take a couple stitches when you get the chance. LA - squeeze Kevin for me! And, hope all goes well for Gerry's Dad.

Hello, girls! How is everyone? Hope you all had a nice weekend. The weather was just perfect. I'll host on Tuesday - Pam is going to give us a demo of the miracle pillowcase. I'll have a machine set up if anyone wants to bring some fabric and give it a shot. I'm going to try it. Back to the grind tomorrow. A side note - the Quilting Clown Car is back! Burkie finally traded in the too-small truck - so I get the van back full-time! Yahoo! Hope to see y'all Tuesday.....piece.

Good Evening Girls,

This is quilt weather! I hope you tuck under one tonight. AND, I hope you've been able to stitch on one also. ; )

Work has been work. I MISS Summer Break. But, we're surviving.

I have been stitching on my Amaretto Rose project. I tried using a Japanese creasing tool & Elmer's School glue to prepare applique shapes. It worked! These are 2 new or newer techniques for me. Whatever works, right?

Enjoy your week & this glorious weather!

Good Morning, girls! Happy Monday! Wanted to extend lots of Quiltmama thanks to Maureen and Bill Henderson for their wonderful hospitality on Saturday at the third annual Quiltmama BBQ. A fabulous time was had by all. The food was terrific, the kids had a ball in the pool, Joe Byrnes was so entertaining and the company couldn't be beat. Baby Kevin came and ate plenty. So nice to see Peggy - and Joanna and Bill stopped by too. It was very entertaining to hear Maureen describe the various phases of the upcoming home renovation project and to watch Bill at the other end of the table with his version of what's going to happen. It was a fun, fun evening and again - many thanks!!!! Pam and Lois - you were missed. I hope you both had a nice weekend.....Pam - how's your Mom? And you are back to work today? Yuck!!! This summer went entirely too quickly. Finally admitted to myself that is is indeed more than halfway through August - broke down and went to Target for school supplies yesterday. OY! I haven't been in school in years and that still kind of depresses me a little. I finally finished the Witch Is In wallhanging last night - in time to give as a gift tonight. Nothing like a little deadline for motivation. Enjoy this lovely day...hope to see you soon.

The stuff gray hair is made from...

He was INside...?! I left the house for 30 minutes to run an errand & this is what I found when I got home!!! 75 mg of Benadryl, a call to the Vet & 6 ice cubes later we've been able to manage his symptoms @ home. He gives me gray hair!!! NO sewing today.

I am hoping your day is less eventful! ; )
