Happy Father's Day....

A quick prayer for the fathers of the Quiltmamas - here and no longer here - and also to our 'Quiltpapas". These guys who pick up the slack when we head to Lancaster, look at our creations, give advice when asked (and know enough not to give it when not asked), support us.....all the while not fully understanding the need to buy fabric, cut it into small pieces and sew it back together......THANK YOU and Happy Father's Day!!!!!! A little story. Yesterday, our neighbor down the street - Mike - was coaching his two daughters (6 and 8 years old)in their championship game over at Hilltop. They had a very good team - but were down by one run in the bottom of the sixth - their last chance. They had the bases loaded, with two outs, got a hit and now it was tied. Bases still loaded and this little girl comes up to bat. She's a good player but her mom told Mike before the game that she had a terrible week.....her Dad died from a heart attack in November and there were a lot of tears this week leading up to Father's Day weekend. She had two strikes on her, watched a few balls and then swung away and got a hit. They won the game and got the championship trophy. Did her father help her to get that hit? I believe he did.  Piece....
