Firehouse sewing...

We had a very nice time on Thursday at Brookline. Cathy, Leigh Anne, Dolores and I got a lot accomplished. And Maureen stopped by for a long chat - so nice! Dolores was trimming lots and lots of string quilt blocks. She also helped Leigh Anne start an awesome Halloween string quilt. Can't wait to see that one finished - the colors are spectacular! Here are some show & tell pictures:

Cathy made this cute baby quilt - she appliquéd some adorable little cars and hearts...

A scrap-busting hexagon quilt - great colors!

I made a quilt for a woman out of her mother's clothing - this is the pieced back. the flowers are a pocket on the housecoat I used.

This is the front.

I put this top together at the firehouse - a great, easy quilt using a layer cake....'Easy Bricks' on Moda Bake Shop.

Such a nice time! Thanks to Leigh Anne for setting it up - and to Gerry for turning on the A/C.  See you all soon....don't forget the 'Sew and not swim' at Maureen's on Sunday, August 17th at 10:00 AM.    Peace.
