An earthquake and a hurricane in one week....can the locusts be far behind? Oy! Hope everyone stays safe......might head to ACE hardware tomorrow to see about an emergency generator......I have a quilt gift to finish!!! Take care, girls.....piece.....

Hey everyone! I just got home from the shore. It was really weird down there. Stone Harbor started voluntary evacuations yesterday with mandatory ones today. Downtown SH was empty this morn..all the stores closed and boarded up. Plywood painted with "goodnite Irene" and "Don't be mean Irene!" Our property manager said that they want everyone off the island by 2PM today and that they are planning on evacuating the emergency personnel sometime tomorrow. They said they will be shutting off power to hopefully avoid any fires.Crazy!
I would think Pam will be evacuating and will hopefully be safe and sound in Havertown with Scott!
Hope everyone is stocked with necessary supplies! my kids are only worried that we have enough snacks!!Priorities!

Pam, so glad to hear that you're okay. I've been thinking of you a lot and praying that you and your home in Del. are safe. This morning looking out the windows----I think we were pretty lucky----just way too much rain, but no damage. Hope all is well with all of the Mamas.
