Hello, girls! It's Sunday evening - an up and down day of storms and rain. We went to the Phillies game and were lucky to be between storms. Our seats were the tiniest bit under cover - so the one time that it did drizzle, the row in front of us got wet but we didn't...talk about lucky! Alas, the Phils were not so lucky and got squashed! I made a table runner last night - the next one in the 'year of tablerunners'. Just need to quilt it. What's everyone else been up to? Will we have bee this week - is anyone around on Wednesday? I think I can host - I'll know for sure tomorrow and will post. I have a request - for 'Jingle' bags. I have to bag up about 130 gym uniform orders in the next week or so and I use cloth bags so I don't have a supply of plastic grocery bags - if you could save some for me, that would be great! Enjoy the upcoming week! Happy Monday! Piece....

I had a very eventful Sunday, I made the mistake of mentioning to my friend Shiela that I needed a dress for a wedding. She literally drags me to Lord & Taylor (which I have never been in) and has me trying on every dress she can get her hands on (it was my own personal nightmare.) I told her please just find my a couple nice T-shirts and I'll be fine. She was not having it. So after hours of not only the physical abuse there was the mental image of me in front of a mirror wearing the most outrageous outfits anyone can imagine. She did finally talk me into a $180.00 dress that is very tight and to her delight I do not have to wear a bra with! OMG Kill me now. Tonight it's shoes. Jean I need a hug.

Oh, Joe thinks the dress only cost $53.00 so please don't mention it to him. If you see a very uncomfortable person at the wedding wearing a tight dress with no bra, just leave her alone she is not very happy.

HUGS Dolores!!! You are TOO funny! I was SO there when I had to buy cruise-wear. I had NEVER been to the KOP Mall. I didn't have my bi-focals yet and couldn't read price tags. I lost my car. It WAS a day-mare! I can empathize!

Dolores - talk about cruel and unusual punishment! OY!!! I'm missing that shopping gene as well - I just can't understand how some folks love to shop, try on and browse. I'd rather remove my own appendix. Something tells me that she and Consuelo would get along just fine! Good luck with the shoes. Misery loves company so we can hang out together on Friday and bit%$ about our uncomfortable clothing/stockings/shoes. Which reminds me....is Sheila busy tonight - I don't have any thing to wear yet!!!! (Kidding.....maybe). Not a word to JOE BYRNES - don't worry. Take care...piece.

Let me just say, that while I love helping others buy clothes, performing that same task for myself is torture beyond reason. Dolores, I went thru the same exercise 2 weeks ago at the KofP mall. I tried on approximately 60 dresses. No lie. I was gone so long Mar called me to see if I was ok. I of course was not. I did get my dresse tho. Thank God I will not have to go thru that again for another 3 years! Wednesday is the wedding rehearsal so Mar and I will not make Bee. I'll see all at the wedding!

Hey - is the rehearsal at the Lamb Tavern? Just asking.....did this require buying a whole 'nother outfit? OY! More shopping! Girls - have a great time! We'll be thinking of you...can't wait to see handsome Matt!!!! Piece...

BTW - Mo - what's in three years?

The weddings, graduations, and whatnot seem to be spaced so that I have been able to recycle dresses for up to 3 years. I'm too cheap to buy dresses sooner than that unless forced.

Jean - I have plenty of plastic bags for you - Mike says about 1,000. I don't think I have quite that many. I bought a dress yesterday too. I HATE shopping!!
Mare and Maureen - have fun on Wednesday night!!

Cath....thanks for the bags! Consuelo - appreciate the clarification on the 3 year thing. Seems like it's torturous for all of us! No wonder rich folks have personal shoppers. LA - good luck to you and Kevin on Wednesday - seems like only a few of us around but you are most welcome to come on over. Have a nice night, ladies....dream of cool things! Piece...
