Cath-HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
I am actually starting a list for Lancaster!!! 9 days and counting!!!
John is flying home next Friday which makes me nervous-leaving town before he is actually IN town, so I have already talked to my sister about coming down after school. That way an unexpected flight delay or God forbid a calcellation--I'm covered!! As usual, the calendar is filling up for next weekend. I'll leave all the info and lists, then it will rain and everything will be cancelled!!
Mare, I feel guilty blogging about next weekend. Did you decide to come up on Friday??
Hope everyone has a good holiday weekend.

I get these periodic emails from a speaker we had at guild last year - her name is Gyleen Fitzgerald and she's a very interesting woman. She published a book of her haikus and her quilts. It's a tiny little coffee table book and it's pretty neat. Anyhow, she sent this haiku the other day and it seems appropriate for today:

Potential

Laugh in morning wind
Sip tea in afternoon rain
Dream of tomorrow.

Have a nice day...explore the potential. Piece....

Hey Ladies,

I don't think I'll make next Friday. My baby brother turns 40 and we are taking him out to dinner and Nicole comes home for the wedding Fri. afternoon. So, I need to be around to get her. Think of me -on another note - please keep Bill's family in your prayers today. Joanna called this morning and he had a bad night--not sure if he will make it thru the day.

Mare...so sorry to hear the news....my thoughts are with Bill and Joanna. He's lucky to have her love and support through all this sadness. Please let us know if there's anything we can do for them.

Mare - all things happen for a reason. Bill is fortunate to have Joanna by his side @ this difficult time.

You will be SEW missed in Lancaster, girl friend!

JB - thanks for sharing Gyleen's haiku! : )

Lor - smart of you to have things lined up & ready for next weekend!
