Good Morning!

My thread arrived!!! HOORAY!!! It's the same color (hooray!), but on a bigger spool. I didn't know if/how this larger spool would work/fit...sew far sew good! : ) And, I did finish my English paper pieced star. It is going to be the label for this quilt. Geez, I have the label & the binding done & ready. Wow...!?

Steel Magnolias...?! Jean & Mo, is that the references you've been making? Pink, luggage, Ouiser? Hmmm...

I have not been to Patch of Country. Sorry to hear they are closing. We have fewer & fewer quilt shops available to us locally. Jean, your practicality makes me smile. If anyone is making a trip to Patch of Country, I'd go along. Does anyone have any "free" time this weekend? Cathy, is this where you bought your leather thimble? I REALLY need one!

Will someone post about tonight's Bee events, please? I hate to miss it! : /

Stay warm & have a good day!
Piecefully, Pam

P.S. Does anyone have any web wizardry & tech savvy to help me find/link a calendar to the blog...?!

Pam...cool. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Yes, it is Steel Magnolias...I love having the binding done when I get to the end of quilting - doesn't happen too often! I'll have to check and see what our schedule is like on Saturday...did we hear if there is a sale? Gone to Pieces had a big sale when they closed. I finished the photo quilt top except for the outermost border - I have an idea for it that I need to work out - Karen's book inspired me to give more thought to my borders...I'll see if it works. Lots of folks can't make it tonight.....so the blog report may be short and sweet! Have a nice sleep......

Good evening - to those who weren't here tonight, we missed you. First - Lois - hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday. Peggy came and had Richie's graduation picture in dress blues - he looked so handsome and serious. We heard details of the graduation and festivities. Ellen is a riot - talked to a lot of Marines and heard - 'No, Ma'am' a lot! Leigh Anne finished her naked lady!!! It is awesome! She also brought along a beautiful quilt in the works for her living room - she's making up the pattern and it's cool - and the colors are great - surprisingly, no pea green. Cathy did not turn on the oven and her parents had no ham....long, funny story. She has almost bitten clean through her tongue. I finished the photo quilt top except for the most outside border - getting there. Hope everyone has a nice week....see you all soon and let's get those naked ladies clothed!

Forgot to mention....if you go past Chris Clement's storefront on Manoa Rd near the pike, it says in the front window:
'Welcome Home Pvt. Rich Carney, USMC' in large red, white and blue letters. It's awesome!
