sewing, sewing, sewing...today I stitched together rows of remnants to back my Trip Around the World project. Tomorrow I'll sew those rows together & have the backing made!!! Hooray! : )

Seventy degrees in January is TOO HOT!!! What are the polar bears doing?! I feel worried...

Pam - yourself, Lois and I are going, I believe. Mare will let me know if she's feeling better later today - she's been under the weather. Why are un-basting the dresden plate? What a pain! Can't wait to see the Trip - have you decided how you're going to quilt it? I have 4 Irish cottage blocks finished - I need to embellish them and that's what I'm bringing with me tonight....got my machine back - he replaced the lighting assembly so they work just fine now and I'm just glad to have it back. Have lots of work to do in the next month and a half. Looking forward to tonight...feels like I haven't seen anyone in ages....I need some quiltmama juju! Enjoy the day - a good one to be in the sewing room with a cup of tea (or iced tea!).....jb

Jean - I am un-basting because the backing is skewed. The front edges on 2 sides of the quilt have batting, but NO backing to be quilted!!! And, Barb gave me wool batting to try - after - the Dresden sandwich was made. So, since the backing needs to be corrected AND I have wool batting...re-baste. Your Irish Cottage blocks sound super! : ) I look forward to seeing them & YOU this evening! Glad to hear your machine is back & READY TO SEW!!!
